Membership Is Based on Character and Responsibility

Applicants should provide accurate information, accept the code of conduct, respect lawful authority and citizens' rights, and use the FOPN name only for approved purposes.

Grounds for refusal may include:

  • False or materially incomplete information.
  • Serious criminal conviction or unresolved integrity concerns incompatible with FOPN values.
  • Violence, impersonation, unlawful influence or deliberate intimidation.
  • Seeking membership for protection, access, favour or preferential treatment.
  • Abusive conduct or deliberate misinformation against police or citizens.
Integrity and recognition

Code of Conduct

  • Act lawfully, respectfully and honestly.
  • Do not impersonate police officers.
  • Do not interfere with investigations or official duties.
  • Do not use FOPN for private disputes, pressure or intimidation.
  • Protect confidential information and personal data.

Review and Discipline

Applications and complaints may be reviewed by authorised officers. Proven misconduct may result in warning, suspension or termination, subject to fair internal procedures and a reasoned appeal process.
